Suances, a French champion miler at 3 and a California grade II winner, came through with his first winner Sept. 25 at Oak Tree at Santa Anita. His California-bred son Feisty Suances won a 6 1/2-furlong race in 1:16.86 in his first start.
A homebred for Red Baron’s Barn, Feisty Suances is the first foal from the winning Good and Tough mare Good and Hot.
Suances (Most Welcome—Prayer Wheel, by High Line) stands at Rancho Temescal near Piru, Calif. His 2008 fee was $2,500.
