Breeders' Cup Ltd. announced Friday that the Breeders' Cup Steeplechase will be held Oct. 20 as part of the one-day Far Hills race meet in Far Hills, N. J. The 2 5/8 mile, $250,000 race was reinstated last year after a seven-year absence from the Breeders' Cup schedule... The horses Awesome Again and Runaway Groom, jockey Larry Attard, and the late Jack Hardy are among the inductees into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will be held Aug. 23 at Woodbine Racetrack... Hollywood Park has announced a capital improvement project that will include construction of rubber horse paths and drainage swales. The project will begin at the conclusion of the current spring/summer meet.
