Graded stakes winner Ocean Terrace was represented by his first winner when his son Against the Tide won Sept. 10 at Northlands Park.

Against the Tide, owned by Randy Howg and Bob Butz, captured the six-furlong race in 1:14 flat in his first race since placing in the Edmonton Juvenile Stakes at Northlands in his initial start.

Bred in Kentucky by Kathryn Cowan, Against the Tide is the second runner out of the Deputy Minister mare Rezister, whose other runner is stakes-placed Napinowaan.

Ocean Terrace (Saint Ballado—Crystal River, by Black Tie Affair) stands at Dr. Warren Center’s Mighty Acres near Pryor, Okla. His 2008 fee was $2,000.
