Klaus Jacobs, who built Newsells Park Stud into a successful breeding and racing operation in England, has died in Zurich following a lengthy illness, according to a farm Web site. The German-born, Swiss citizen was 71.
Newsells Park has bred such stakes winners as French group winners Best Name and Maroussies Wings. The latter raced for Jacobs’ widow, Renata, who also campaigned French group I winner Kinnaird.
