A son of Storm Catout of grade I winner Tranquility Lake has been scratched from the 2008 Keeneland September yearling sale. The dark bay or brown colt was scheduled to sell during the auction's second session, Sept. 9 ,as Hip No. 329 from the consignment of Lane’s End, agent for breeders Martin and Pam Wygod.
“My wife and I loved the colt and we were not impressed with the amount of attention he was receiving. I don’t think he was getting the amount of respect he deserved,” Wygod said from Keeneland. “He is a great individual and we are excited to keep and race him.”
Tranquility Lake (Rahy -Winter's Love, by Danzig) earned $1,662,390. She scored grade I wins in the Yellow Ribbon Stakes and the Gamely Breeders' Cup Handicap.
The colt is a full brother to multiple grade I winner and stallion After Market and Jalil, who who sold for $9.7 million to Sheikh Mohammed at the 2005 Keeneland September sale. Jalil is a group II winner in Dubai and placed in the Waquoit Stakes Aug. 30 at Suffolk Downs.
