Stakes winner Ex Federali was represented by his first winner when his son Nicole’s Pick won Sept. 1 at Ruidoso Downs. The colt won the 7 1/2-furlong race in 1:37.80 for 4 Eagles Racing Stable and Eduardo Salgado.

Bred in New Mexico by Market Demand Farms, Nicole’s Pick is the second winner out of the winning Native Prospector mare Twenty Two Jewels.

Ex Federali (In Excess—Crystal Cop, by Crystal Water) stands at Dan Carter’s farm near Anthony, N.M. His 2008 fee was $2,500.
