Hosted by Jason Shandler and Tom LaMarra, “That Handicapping Show” is a weekly video show. Dedicated to handicappers and horse players, the hosts will analyze some of the major races from around the country for the upcoming weekend and attempt to guide handicappers toward the winners.

Because they are writers and only part-time handicappers, Shandler and LaMarra do not claim to be experts, but can guarantee the show will be fun and entertaining.

Expert analysis of the weekend’s top races will be offered, however, by weekly show guests Cary Fotias and John Pricci of Equiform, a New York-based professional handicapping company.

Equiform is an innovative handicapping service that analyzes pace and speed numbers. Fotias, the president and founder of Equiform, is also the author of the book Blinkers Off, a tool for professional handicappers. Fotias will give free selections to viewers with his “Race of the Week.”

In last week’s episode John Pricci handed out another free winner to continue the hot streak for Equiform. Pricci correctly selected Dakota Phone ($11.20 to win) in the 7th race at Del Mar and also handed out the exacta, which returned $112 for a $2 bet. It was the third winner in the last five weeks for the Equiform guys, who have given the public a pair of trifectas or superfectas that have paid out more than $1,000 in their short time as guests on “That Handicapping Show.”

This week, Jason and guest Evan Hammonds take on the Travers Stakes (gr. I). Plus, picks from Fotias of Equiform for race 10 at Arlington Park Aug. 23.
