Tropical Storm, a son of Storm Cat, came through with his first winner when his son Storm Shocker won Aug. 17 at Presque Isle Downs in his second start. Campaigned by trainer Paula Bacon, the colt ran the 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:06.86.
Bred in Pennsylvania by Michael DeSaye, Storm Shocker is the second winner from two foals of racing age from the winning Tactical Advantage mare Shocktics.
Tropical Storm, out of the grade I-winning Carson City mare Pearl City, stands at John T.L. Jones III and Robert Trussell’s Walmac Farm near Lexington. His 2008 fee was $5,000.
