Hallowed Dreams Eyes Texas Turf Sprint

Hallowed Dreams, the darling of Louisiana who has lost only once in 23 career starts, is expected to compete Saturday in the $75,000 Miller Lite Stakes at five furlongs on the turf at Lone Star Park.Hallowed Dreams, bred in Louisiana, has raced once outside of her home state. She won that race -- the $100,000 Valid Expectations Stakes at Lone Star in May. Her only defeat came at Evangeline Downs in Louisiana.Co-owned by Johnny Gaspard and trainer Lloyd Romero, Hallowed Dreams worked a bullet half-mile in a sizzling :46 at Evangeline June 16. The filly, ridden regularly by Sylvester Carmouche, is expected to arrive at Lone Star Friday.At Fair Grounds this year, Hallowed Dreams broke the six-furlong track record held by her sire, Malagra. She has earned more than $600,000.
