Tenpins, a millionaire son of Smart Strike  out of the Deputy Minister mare Maid’s Broom, sired his first winner when a daughter, La Lynn, won by 10 1/4 lengths Aug. 2 at Camarero Race Track in Puerto Rico. La Lynn won the 5 1/2-furlong race in 1:06.84 for Establo Toa Alta.

Bred in Kentucky by Keith and Deborah Wenger, La Lynn is the third winner from the winning Itajara mare Prima Gioia, who is a full sister to grade I winner Siphon.

Tenpins also is the sire of stakes-placed High Pin. He stands at John T.L. Jones III and Robert Trussell’s Walmac Farm near Lexington. His 2008 fee was $6,500.
