Stakes winner Doctor Mike got his first winner July 26 at Evangeline Downs when Valene Farms’ homebred Doc of the Bay won by 4 3/4 lengths. The filly ran the five furlongs in :59.53.

Bred in Louisiana, Doc of the Bay is out of Louisiana champion B. J.’s Delta Pro (by Nile Delta) and is a half-sister to stakes winner J. D.’s Blue Bayou and stakes-placed/stakes producer  Auto Be a Pro.

Doctor Mike (Autocracy—Run Prissy Run, by Bayou Hebert) stands at Clear Creek Stud near Folsom, La. His 2008 fee was $1,000.
