Paolini Edges Ela Athena in Gran Premio di Milano

Paolini dueled with Ela Athena in the final furlong en route to winning Sunday's Gran Premio di Milano (Ity-I). Over a San Siro course rated good, the 4-year-old son of Lando completed the 1 1/2 miles in 2:34 4/5.
Ela Athena finished second, a short head behind the winner. Super Tassa came home third, with Snetterton fourth in the seven-horse field.
Paolini is trained by Andreas Woehler. Andreas Suborics piloted Paolini to the victory.
