Grade I winner and millionaire Request for Parole, owned by Sam and Jeri Knighton, has been sent to Argentina by a partnership comprised of Estacion de Monta Don Petiso, Haras El Tala, and Haras Don Yeye for the 2008 Southern Hemisphere breeding season. He will stand at Estacion de Monta Don Petiso near Buenos Aires.
The 9-year-old son of Judge T C out of the Deputy Minister mare Madison’s Quest completed his first season at stud at Vince Tucciarone’s Fox Tale Stud near Coopersburg, Pa. Request for Parole is the first Pennsylvania stallion to travel to the Southern Hemisphere for breeding.
“On top of his outstanding racing career, what’s fascinating about Request for Parole is that his pedigree is free of Mr. Prospector,” said Alejo Gancedo, owner of Don Petiso. “Given how many mares in the market today are inbred two and three times to Mr. Prospector, Request for Parole offers a complete outcross, which will appeal to many South American breeders.”
Request for Parole won or placed in 21 of 51 starts and earned $1,372,224. He experienced his best season at 5 when he won the United Nations Stakes (gr. IT)) and Mac Diarmida Handicap (gr. IIIT).
