Champion Action This Day's first two winners won at foreign racetracks. On July 6, his son Rapid Release captured a seven-furlong race in 1:25.48 at Brighton in England for owner W.E. Sturt. Bred in Ontario by Shyman Racing Stables, Rapid Release is the first winner from the stakes-placed St. Jovite mare Bail Money.

On June 8, Action This Day’s daughter Vivian Champions won at five furlongs in 1:02.60 at  Hipodromo de las Americas for Cuadra Vivian. The Mexican-bred filly is out of the Polish Precedent mare Burnished Steel.

Action This Day (Kris S.--Nagecam, by Trempolino) was voted champion 2-year-old male of 2003 after winning the Bessemer Trust Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (gr. I). He stands for $10,000 at B. Wayne Hughes’ Spendthrift Farm near Lexington.
