Inglis Sale Sees Big Average Increase The two-day Inglis weanling sale in Australia concluded June 27 with a significant rise in average and an RNA rate of only 20.8%. The gross of $7.3 million saw an average of $32,291, an increase of 31% over a year ago. The highest price on the second day of the sale was a colt by Encosta De Lago out of the Royal Academy mare Charmview. Consigned by Coolmore, the colt was bought by Blue Sky Thoroughbreds for $500,000. The top price of the sale came on the first day when a More Than Ready filly brought $596,248. Coolmore was the leading consignor (and also bought the topper), selling seven of the top 10 lots during the select session.
