Millennium Farms' Student Council, a grade I winner on dirt and synthetic surfaces,  will make his next start in the  $750,000 Hollywood Gold Cup (gr. I) at Hollywood Park.  The 1 1/4-mile race is set for  June 28.

Steve Asmussen  trains the winner of the Pimlico Special(gr. I), Pacific Classic (gr. I) and Hawthorne Gold Cup(gr. II).  He will be ridden by Shaun Bridgmohan, who was aboard Student Council in the Pimlico Special.

Ro Parra, owner of Millennium Farms, commented on the decision to run in California instead of the Suburban Handicap (gr. I) in New York:  “It came down to the weights and the higher purse. Perhaps it will be 'third time's the charm” for us, as we've been third in the Gold Cup twice and we think we can win it this year with Student Council.”

Student Council has been assigned 117 pounds for the Gold Cup.

Millennium Farms' Even The Score was third as the favorite in 2004, and the farm was  third again in 2006 when Super Frolic was beaten three-quarters of a length by Lava Man.

Student Council will fly from Kentucky, where he is based at Churchill Downs, to California on June 23.

Student Council has earnings of more than $1.3 million from eight wins out of 27 starts on both dirt and synthetic tracks. Prior to his purchase by Parra, Student Council took the 2007 Maxxam Gold Cup Handicap at Sam Houston Race Park.
