Kentucky horseracing interests are sponsoring a June 16 poker tournament to raise money for the Backside Lifestyle Drug and Alcohol Abuse Program at Churchill Downs.

The tournament, which will feature Texas Hold ’em games, will begin at 6 p.m. EDT in the Churchill Downs Triple Crown Ballroom at the Louisville, Ky., racetrack. Registration begins at 5 p.m.

Prizes will be based on the number of players, but with a maximum number, the winner would get $10,000. The contest is sponsored by Churchill Downs, Kentucky Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association, Kentucky Thoroughbred Association, and Churchill Downs Racing Committee.
