West Point Stables' Macho Again had a solid work this morning for trainer Dallas Stewart at Churchill Downs May 30, going a half-mile in :48.20 over the fast main track under exercise rider Kenny Borque. The move ranked 11th of 55 at the distance.

“It was very good work,” Stewart said. “We opened him up a little, and I liked the way he finished. He came home in :11, so we were pretty happy with him.”
Stewart said he would ship to Belmont Park June 3, as the colt will run in the June 7 Belmont Stakes (gr. I).

A son of Macho Uno   bred in Florida by Milan Kosanovich out of the Wild Again mare Go Donna Go, Macho Again was second to Big Brown in the Preakness Stakes (gr. I), beaten 5 1/4 lengths after a troubled trip. Prior to that start, he won the 7 1/2-furlong Derby Trial at Churchill Downs April 26. He was a $150,000 purchase from the OBS select sale of 2-year-olds in training in 2007.
