Nobutaka Tada, spokesperson for the connections of
Casino Drive, said the Peter Pan Stakes (gr. II) winner was "50-50" to breeze on Wednesday in preparation for the June 7 Belmont Stakes (gr. I).
The original plan was to breeze after the mid-morning harrowing, around 8:45 a.m.
"It will all depend on the weather and the track," Tada said. "If it is good, we will go out. If not, we'll wait another day or so."
Regardless, Casino Drive will go out at around 8:45 a.m., according to the New York Racing Association.
A son of
Mineshaft , Casino Drive was an impressive winner in Japan before returning to the U.S. Should Casino Drive upset Big Brown, he will be following a family tradition. His dam, Better Than Honour, has produced the last two Belmont winners -- Jazil in 2006 and Rags to Riches in '07.
