First Winners for Sandpit, River Flyer, Wild Escapade

Grade I winners Sandpit, River Flyer, and Wild Escapade were represented by their first winners the first part of June. Sandpit's initial winner came June 4 when his son Prime Time Billy won at 4 1/2 furlongs in :53.94 at Delaware Park in his first start. Bred by Mr. and Mrs. David Randal, the colt races for Prime Time Stable. Sandpit (Baynoun--Sand Dancer, by Green Dancer) is owned by Sierra Thoroughbreds and Tom Simon's Vinery Kentucky and stands at the latter near Lexington.

River Flyer's first winner, Chabuka, won June 7 at 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:06.54 at Hollywood Park. Chabuka was bred by SLU Inc. and races for the partnership of Garcia and Rubio. River Flyer (Riverman--Young Flyer, by Flying Paster) is owned by John and Betty Mabee and stands at their Golden Eagle Farm near Ramona, Calif.

Wild Escapade's initial winner, Wild Thunder, won June 8 at 4 1/2 furlongs by five lengths in :54.62 at Charles Town. Bred by Hall Farm, the colt races for Roger B. Sterling. Syndicated Wild Escapade (Wild Again--Mazatleca, by Ramahorn) stands at Daniel Cronin and Cathy Gonzalez' Emerald Pastures Farm near Ocala, Fla.
