Behindatthebar has been scratched from Saturday’s Preakness Stakes (gr. I), according to a Maryland Jockey Club official.

The son of Forest Wildcat came up with a bruised left front foot Friday morning at Belmont Park and will not run in the second leg of the Triple Crown.

Trained by Todd Pletcher, Behindatthebar won the Coolmore Lexington Stakes (gr. II) at Keeneland April 19. He has three wins from five starts and has earned $227,100. Out of the Runaway Groom mare Rhiana, Behindatthebar is owned by the Sanan family’s Padua Stable, Michael Shustek, and Don Stanley.

The scratch of Behindatthebar, who had drawn post 5, leaves a field of 12 for Saturday’s $1 million Preakness at Pimlico. Big Brown, the 1-2 morning line favorite will now break from post 6. A leading 15 winners have come from the sixth post position in the 132 previous runnings of the Preakness.
