Roar of the Tiger, a full brother to prominent sire Giant’s Causeway, came through with his first winner April 16 when a daughter, Roarin Tigress, won at Camarero Race Track in Puerto Rico in her first start. Owned by Fantastic Stable, Roarin Tigress won the two-furlong race in 22.86.

Bred in Florida by R.C. Van Voorhees and Elizabeth A. Steinbach, Roarin Tigress is the third foal from the Carson City mare Evil Eyed Czarina and is a half-sister to stakes-placed Shaealltheway.

Stakes-placed Roar of the Tiger (Storm Cat—Mariah’s Storm, by Rahy) stands for $6,000 at Hartley/De Renzo, Walmac South near Ocala, Fla.
