Rosie Napravnik, Scott Lake and Robert Cole won individual titles as the Laurel Park winter meeting came to a close April 13.

The 59-day stand began at the central Maryland track on Jan. 1.

Napravnik captured the jockey standings by winning 62 races, 11 more than apprentice Craig Gibbs, to secure her first riding title since capturing the 2006 Laurel fall crown. The 20-year-old rode three winners on three occasions and had 19 multiple winning days during the meet. She was the only rider in the colony to earn more than $1 million during the meet. Jeremy Rose was third with 41 first place finishes while winning at a 32% clip.

Lake ruled the trainer standings, winning 51 races, 21 more than Dale Capuano. The veteran conditioner saddled three winners five times and produced eight two-win days.

“We could not be more pleased with the way things are going in Maryland,” said Lake, who has won 13 training titles at Laurel and Pimlico this decade.

Cole reigned supreme in the owner standings, finishing first 14 times. The Howard County native won races with trainers Lake, Howard Wolfendale and Stephanie Beattie.

Final handle numbers will be released later this week.
