Folsum Named Colorado Horse of the Year

The Colorado Thoroughbred Breeders Association named Folsum its 2007 Horse of the Year April 12 at Arapahoe Park in Aurora.

Bred by Willard Burbach of Greeley, Colo,, who was named Colorado Breeder of the Year by earnings ($368,365), Folsum's 2007 racetrack earnings were $92,891.  Owned by Willard Burbach and Cindy Jones, Folsum, a son of Twining, also took 2007 champion 3-year-old colt/gelding honors.       

Leading Colorado stallion is Oliver's Twist, by Horatius, with $153,539 in 2007 progeny earnings.  Oliver's Twist currently stands at Linda Wood's Menoken Farms, Montrose, CO.
