Trainer Dan Hendricks
Dan Hendricks faces a complaint from the California Horse Racing Board alleging that a horse in the trainer's care, Lotacat, tested in excess for the allowable level for a metabolite of acepromazine, a commonly used tranquilizer in horses. A hearing is scheduled April 13 at Santa Anita.

Lotacat finished second in the sixth race at Santa Anita on Feb. 10. According to a CHRB statement issued April 4, the Ken Maddy Laboratory testing facility at the University of California-Davis reported the presence of 3-hydroxy(ethyl)-promazine, a metabolite of acepromazine, in excess of authorized levels. It is a Class 2 violation.
