Barretts May Catalog Has 329 Juveniles

Barretts has cataloged 329 horses for its May sale of 2-year-olds in training in Southern California. The auction will be held May 13 at the Hinds Pavlion on the grounds Fairplex Park, beginning at 11 a.m. (PDT). Under tack shows are scheduled for May 8 and 9 at Fairplex, starting at 10 a.m. (PDT) each day.

During the 2007 edition of auction, 181 horses were sold for a gross of $11,331,300, an average price of $62,604, and a median price of $25,000. The gross and average, both of which were sale records, increased 7.8% and 19.1%, respectively, from the previous year. The median was down 7.4%.
