From the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association
The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association will conduct a new owner seminar April 18 at Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Altoona, Iowa.
The seminar, sponsored by Blood-Horse Publications, will feature discussions on industry business issues; options for acquiring horses, including partnerships; auctions and claiming; and a discussion about veterinary topics. Speakers include Thoroughbred owner Maggi Moss and trainers Chris Richard and Kelly Von Hemel.
The seminar will begin at 1:30 p.m. CDT and will include dinner and an evening of racing at Prairie Meadows. The registration fee for the seminar is $75 for TOBA members and $100 for non-members. The fee includes all support materials, admission to the track, and meals.
