Elizabeth Lampton, owner of Elmendorf Farm near Lexington with her husband, Dinwiddie Lampton Jr., died March 22. She was 74.

Lampton and three employees were thrown from a horse carriage the previous day at the farm after the horse went through a fence. Lampton was taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital. One of the others on board suffered a broken leg. Lampton’s husband was not aboard the carriage.

The Lamptons had owned Elmendorf since 1997.
