Woodbine Entertainment Group announced March 12 personnel changes in its Thoroughbred racing operations.
Steve Koch has been promoted to vice president of Thoroughbred racing. Koch had served as the track’s director of Thoroughbred racing since 2006.
Koch completed his Masters of agriculture/applied economics at the University of Kentucky in 2002 and has been at WEG since April of 2003. He previously worked for Keeneland and Claiborne Farm.
Koch immediately promoted Steve Lym to the position of director of racing. In addition to his duties as racing secretary, Lym assumes responsibility for the stall office and stable area operations.
Karl Lagerborg was promoted to manager of stable area operations, while Gino Gaetan was promoted to senior manager of stable maintenance.
