The Washington Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association has named Ron Crockett’s The Great Face 2007 horse of the year, handicap male, and sprinter.
Bred by Patricia Murphy’s Time-Wise Farm, the son of Cahill Road finished the year with earnings of $292,875. Trained by Tom Wenzel, The Great Face scored his major wins in the Longacres Mile (gr. III) and the Mt. Rainier Breeders’ Cup Handicap at Emerald Downs.
