Jockey Elvis Trujillo was sent to Hollywood Memorial Regional Hospital after falling from his mount, Dinner Guest, in the stretch run of the seventh race Feb. 23 at Gulfstream Park.

Paramedics said the 24-year-old Trujillo was unconscious when they first arrived, but that he regained consciousness minutes later. They also said they suspect he suffered a fractured right wrist.

Dinner Guest, a 4-year-old gelding owned by KZ Stable and trained by Dale Romans, was euthanized after suffering a fractured cannon bone.
