Hal and Patti Earnhardt’s undefeated homebred champion Indian Blessing will make a return trip to New Orleans to run in the $400,000 Fair Grounds Oaks (gr. II) March 8.

Winner of the 2007 Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I) and owner of a perfect five-for-five mark, Indian Blessing won the Silverbulletday (gr. III) Feb. 9 at Fair Grounds in her most recent start. The champion 2-year-old filly of last year ended up as the 4-1 favorite in Pool 1 of the Kentucky Oaks Future Wager that closed Feb. 10.

“She’s doing great and looks awesome,” said trainer Bob Baffert, who won the 1999 Kentucky Oaks with Silverbulletday. “She bounced out of it (the Silverbulletday) really quick. I like that (Fair Grounds) surface. It’s very consistent. You know what to expect.”

The daughter of Indian Charlie—Shameful, by Flying Chevron has earned more than $1.5 million in her career and has four graded stakes victories to her credit. She last worked Feb. 21 at Santa Anita, breezing four furlongs in :48.80.
