(Edited press release)
Dean De Renzo and Randy Hartley have announced a breeders' reward program for their 2008 stallions.
In this year's program, signed contracts through the partners' Ocala, Fla.-based with the stud fees paid for under certain terms and conditions will yield special privileges.
From each approved contract, breeders will get an entry for a $25,000 drawing to be held following the 2009 foaling season.
“Breeders incentives are based on the performance of the resulting foals, and we wanted to offer breeders a chance at a much faster return on their stud fee investment,” said Ed Magnier, director of stallions and marketing.
Hartley/De Renzo Stallions is currently home to nine stallions, four of which are managed under the banner of Walmac South. New to the farm for 2008 are Pavarotti, a stakes-winning son of A.P. Indy, and Simon Pure, a son of Silver Deputy.
