Champion Shirocco, son of So Sedulous.

So Sedulous, the dam of German and Italian champion Shirocco, has been euthanized due to an illness. She was 17.

The winning The Minstrel mare produced five stakes victors for Baron Georg von Ullman, including Shirocco, winner of the 2004 BMW 135 Deutsches Derby (Ger-I) and the 2005 TVG Breeders' Cup Turf (gr. IT).

Of So Sedulous' five stakes-winning offspring, four were by von Ullman's stallion Monsun, including Sirocco and group II victor Subiaco, who ran second in the 2000 Deutsches Derby. So Sedulous' other stakes winners include Storm Trooper and September Storm (both by Monsun), and Satchmo (by Surumu).

Bred in Kentucky by Forenaghts Stud, So Sedulous raced in England, France, and Germany, before being sent to the latter country to become a broodmare in 1995.

Out of the Irish group III winner Sedulous (by Tap on Wood), So Sedulous hails from the female family of such Irish champions as Gala Event (by Sallust) and Miss Emma (by Key of Luck).

So Sedulous' last reported foal is a yearling Monsun colt named Slash.
