Champion 2-year-old War Pass drilled six furlongs in 1:13 1/5 at Palm Meadows Saturday in preparation for his 3-year-old debut, which could come in an allowance race at Gulfstream Feb. 23.

War Pass has not run since his victory in the Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I).

Another Nick Zito-trained Kentucky Derby hopeful to work Saturday was Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes (gr. II) winner Anak Nakal, who drilled five furlongs in 1:00 4/5. The son of Victory Gallop is scheduled to make his 3-year-old debut in the Fountain of Youth Stakes  (gr. II) Feb. 24.
