Brahms will stand at Elite Thoroughbreds in Louisiana.

Brahms, a grade I-winning son of Danzig, will stand the 2008 breeding season at Elite Thoroughbreds near Folsom, La., as part of a three-year lease arrangement. His fee for this year is $3,500.

Brahms has sired 17 runners that have won or placed in stakes. His seven stakes winners include Arson Squad, who won the 2007 Strub Stakes (gr. II) and 2006 Swaps Breeders' Cup Stakes (gr. II). Brahms also has sired Australian group winner Real Mak, plus Up an Octave, who took the 2006 Forerunner Stakes on grass at Keeneland. Brahms' progeny earnings total is $6.4 million.

"We appreciate the opportunity to stand a stallion of the caliber of Brahms in Louisiana and feel certain that he will be well received by breeders," said Michele Rodriguez of Elite Thoroughbreds.

Brahms scored his big win in the Early Times Hollywood Derby (gr. IT) and was twice group I-placed in England at 2. He earned $843,050.

Brahms, who is out of champion Queena (by Mr. Prospector), formerly stood at Dr. Tom Simon's Vinery near Lexington.
