Multiple grade I winner Island Fashion foaled a dark bay or brown filly by leading sire Storm CatFeb. 4 at Pope McLean's Crestwood Farm near Lexington, the farm announced Feb. 6.

Island Fashion is an earner of more than $2 million, having won the Alabama Stakes (gr. I), La Brea Stakes (gr. I), and the Santa Monica Handicap (gr. I) all in 2003. A daughter of Petionville  , she was a Kentucky homebred of Jeff Nielsen’s Everest Stable.

Island Fashion's four-year racing career ended in 2006. She was trained by Julio Canani. Island Fashion was 6-5-4 from 30 career starts, and she placed in 13 graded stakes.

“We were hoping for a filly, especially since it’s a Storm Cat, and she is an outstanding individual,” McLean said.
