Leelanau, a Churchill Downs' track-record setter, has been acquired by Jack Barr for stallion duty at Wally and Janet Hartwig's Tower Farm near Somonauk, Ill. His fee is $2,000.

Leelanau set a track record of 1:03.11 in winning the Kentucky Breeders' Cup Stakes (gr. III) at 5 1/2 furlongs at 2. He earned $130,827 at that age.

Nine-year-old Leelanau (Carson City—Kris's Intention, by Kris S.) is the sire of several winners, including 2008 stakes-placed T C's Charmer. Leelanau formerly stood at Menoken Farms in Colorado.
