William Inglis & Son in Australia has today announced the introduction of a number of new vendor friendly incentives for breeding stock sales. The company also will continue to offer the incentive introduced last year, the commission-free sale of mares making $100,000 or more at the Australian Easter broodmare sale.
The incentives also will apply to fillies, mares, and weanlings sold at the Great Southern sale to be held in May and the Australian weanling and breeding stock sale to be held in Sydney in late June.
Scheduled for May 4-6, the Australian Easter broodmare sale follows on from the Australian Easter yearling sale. New in 2008 are four initiatives that will benefit sellers:
This year’s sale will be divided into two sessions, with select mares being offered on May 4 and 5. General session mares will follow on May 6.
A special quarantine-approved session of imported mares bred on Southern Hemisphere time will be offered during auction.
A consignor who sells a broodmare at the Australian Easter broodmare sale or the Australian breeding stock sale in June will be eligible to sell her weanling commission free at the Australian weanling and breeding stock sale in June.
A consignor who enters a broodmare or race mare in the Australian Easter broodmare sale and subsequently withdraws or passes the mare in at the sale will have the option of free entry to the Australian weanling and breeding stock sale in June.
