From New York Thoroughbred Breeders

At a Jan. 28 organizational meeting of New York Thoroughbred Breeders, Saratoga native Michael McMahon was re-elected as president for a second term. Suzie O'Cain was re-elected as vice president, and Vivien Malloy was newly elected as secretary/treasurer.

McMahon owns McMahon Bloodstock, a consulting firm with clients racing and breeding thoroughbreds in New York, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and California. He is also a partner in McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, a commercial breeding operation in Saratoga Springs. McMahon lives in Lexington with his wife, Dr. Natanya McMahon, and their two children.

O'Cain, also Saratoga resident, co-manages Highcliff Farm in Delanson, N.Y. with her husband, Lynwood. O'Cain hosts the A.M. Saratoga segment on Women in Racing live from Saratoga Racetrack. She is also the founder of Find A Cure Stable, which donates a percentage of purses to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Vivien Malloy owns and operates Edition Farm near Waccabuc, N.Y., and was named the New York Thoroughbred Owner and Breeders' Association's top breeder of 2007.

Also elected to the executive committee were Dennis Brida, owner of Grandchester Meadows Farm near Ballston Spa, N.Y.; and Chester Broman, owner of Chestertown Farm near Chestertown, N.Y.
