The Thoroughbred Corp's Point Given returned to the track at Churchill Downs on Thursday for the first time since his victory in last Saturday's Preakness (gr. I).
The Bob Baffert-trained son of Thunder Gulch galloped 1 1/2-miles over a "fast" track under exercise rider Pepe Aragon. Baffert assistant John Good said the chestnut colt came back from the Preakness in good shape and will continue his preparation for the Belmont Stakes on June 9.
"He's looking beautiful," said Good.
Also returning to the track on Thursday was Mary and Gary West's Dollar Bill, the fourth-place finisher in the Preakness. Regular exercise rider Joanne McNamara was aboard the son of Peaks And Valleys as he jogged two miles.
Dollar Bill finished fourth under jockey Pat Day in the Preakness after encountering traffic problems on the backstretch -- the fourth consecutive race in which he has endured troubled journey.
"The horse was great," said trainer Dallas Stewart of Dollar Bill's return to the track. "This is the best he's ever come out of any race."
Stewart said again that Dollar Bill will run in the Belmont Stakes and that Day will ride.
