Ermine, winner of the 2007 Apple Blossom Handicap (gr. I), will be bred to A.P. Indythis year. Running for Art and Stephanie Preston's Oxbow Racing, the 5-year-old daughter of Exchange Rate  won five of her 16 career races and earned $880,135. In addition to the Apple Blossom, she scored in the Falls City Handicap (gr. II) and the Honeybee Stakes in 2006.

"How can you go wrong?" said Stephanie Preston of the decision to breed Ermine to A.P. Indy.

Last year, Ermine was bought back for $1.45 million when she was consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent, to the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky November select mixed auction.

Ermine's dam, Red Mischief, is owned by the Prestons and will be bred this year to Exchange Rate. The Prestons haven't decided whether they will sell or race Ermine's yearling full sister, which was bred in the Oxbow name.

Amy Bondon-Peltz bred Ermine in Florida. The mare finished second in three grade I events: the 2006 Kentucky Oaks and the 2007 editions of the Santa Margarita Invitational and Santa Maria Handicaps.
