The first reported foal sired by multiple grade II winner Suave is a colt born Jan. 8 at Donna Wormser’s farm in Ocala, Fla. Bred by Wormser, the colt is the first foal for the 5-year-old mare Happy Valentine, whose dam is a half-sister to millionaire and grade I winner Jolie’s Halo.
Suave set the track record at Arlington Park while on his way to victory in the grade II Washington Park Handicap in 2006. He retired with $1,348,423 in earnings. A 7-year-old son of A. P. Indy out of the multiple grade I-winning Citidancer mare Urbane, Suave stands at Darby Dan Farm in Lexington. Suave’s 2008 fee is $17,500.
