Stonesider, a 4-year-old son of Giant's Causeway  , will enter stud at Joe Barone and Carl Lizza's Highcliff Farm near Delanson, N.Y. He is owned by Robert and Janice McNair's Stonerside Stable and will stand for $3,000.

Bred and raced by Stonerside, the game colt won as the favorite at Belmont Park as a 2-year-old in his debut. He captured a 5 1/2 furlong race over a field that included subsequent grade I winner Flashy Bull. An injury sidelined Stonesider, and he didn't run again.

"Stonesider is very much in the mold of Giant's Causeway, with all the flash and good looks of his sire," said Stonerside racing and bloodstock manager John Adger.

Stonesider is out of the grade II-winning Gilded Time mare Added Gold, who is a half-sister to graded stakes winner Added Asset and a full sister to the dam of grade I winner Irish Smoke.
