Emerald Downs Gets 91-Day Meet

The Washington Horse Racing Commission approved a 91-day season of live racing for Emerald Downs in 2008 during its meeting Dec. 13.
The meeting is to run from April 18 to Sept. 28. Racing will be Friday through Sunday in the first six weeks of the season, and Thursday through Sunday beginning the week of May 29. Special holiday racing will be offered May 26 (Memorial Day) and Sept. 1 (Labor Day).
Post time is 6 p.m. on weekdays and 2 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
The 2008 Emerald Downs stakes schedule is to be announced in January.
The track will also continue to provide multiple-card simulcasting throughout the 2008 season.
