Silent Name, a grade II winner by Sunday Silence, has arrived at Frank Stronach's Adena Springs Kentucky near Paris, where he will enter stud for $7,500. He was retired following a fourth-place finish in the Nov. 23 Citation Handicap (gr. IT) at Hollywood Park for Stronach and Alain and Gerard Wertheimer's Wertheimer et Frere.

Bred in Japan by Wertheimer et Frere, Silent Name won or placed in a dozen of 23 races and earned $663,431. His biggest wins came in this year's Commonwealth Breeders' Cup Stakes (gr. II) over a field that included Midnight Lute at Keeneland and in last year's Arcadia Handicap (gr. IIT) at Santa Anita. Silent Name also was a multiple stakes winner in France.

A 5-year-old, Silent Name is out of French group winner Danzigaway, a daughter of Danehill and half-sister to French champion Gold Away.
