Point Given, galloping at Pimlico Thursday, is co-favored with Monarchos in early Preakness wagering.
With two and a half hours to the post, Point Given is the slight favorite at 2-1 in the 126th Preakness Stakes (gr. I). There is only $423,135 in the win pool. Monarchos and Point Given were both 5-2, but the public has now made Point Given, fifth as the favorite in the Kentucky Derby (gr. I), the narrow choice.
The odds at 12:15 were:
Marciano, 30-1
Mr. John, 21-1
Griffinite, 40-1
A P Valentine, 10-1
Congaree, 3-1
Richly Blended, 15-1
Monarchos, 5-2
Percy Hope, 45-1
Bay Eagle, 60-1
Dollar Bill, 6-1
Point Given, 2-1
