Grade II winner Medallist will stand at Northview Stallion Station.

Grade II winner Medallist will stand at Dr. Tom Bowman and Richard Golden's Northview Stallion Station near Chesapeake City, Md., in 2008. His fee is $5,000. He formerly stood at Robert N. Clay's Three Chimneys Farm near Midway, Ky.

"We’re excited to partner with Northview Stallion Station to give Maryland and Pennsylvania mare owners access to the horse,” Case Clay said.

The first foals by Medallist sold at the recent Keeneland November breeding stock sale, with five weanlings averaging $24,600. A filly topped the Nov. 17 session at $67,000.

“He set track and stakes records ranging from 6 1/2 furlongs to 8 1/2 furlongs, and we think his speed, combined with him being an outcross to Mr. Prospector and Bold Ruler mares, will make him an outstanding sire for northeastern breeders,” Golden said.

Medallist's big win came in setting a stakes record in winning the Dwyer Stakes (gr. II) at 8 1/2 furlongs. He won five of a dozen races and earned $421,375.

Six-year-old Medallist (Touch Gold  --Santaria, by Star de Naskra) stood at Three Chimneys for $8,500.
