Undefeated War Pass, winner of the Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) and the favorite for divisional championship honors, will stand at William S. Farish’s Lane’s End Farm near Versailles, Ky., upon his retirement from racing. A son of Cherokee Run, War Pass also captured the Champagne Stakes (gr. I).

Raced by Robert V. LaPenta and trained by Nick Zito, War Pass won all four of his races in front-running fashion. In his 4 3/4-length Juvenile win at Monmouth Park, he registered a 113 Beyer Speed Figure, the highest by far for a 2-year-old this year and one of the highest in any age group.

War Pass started his career by winning twice at Saratoga prior to the Champagne at Belmont Park. He has earnings of $1,397,400.

“We are extremely pleased to have entered into an agreement with Robert LaPenta on War Pass, and are looking forward to seeing this talented colt return to the track," Farish said. "I believe he will make a great addition to the Lane’s End stallion roster when he is retired.”

Bred in Kentucky by Seth Hancock's Cherry Valley Farm, War Pass is a half-brother to grade I winner Oath and is out of the stakes-placed Mr. Prospector mare Vue.
