Exclusive Quality, a track record-setting son of leading sire Elusive Quality  , will enter stud in 2008 at Brent and Crystal Fernung’s Journeyman Stud in Ocala, Fla.

An $850,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase by Buzz Chace as agent for Aaron and Marie Jones, Exclusive Quality, a Florida-bred out of the Glitterman mare First Glimmer, won three of his four lifetime starts. He  broke his maiden at Gulfstream Park in his second start, with Eclipse Award winner Bernardini among those he defeated that day.

In his third lifetime start, Exclusive Quality set a track record at Gulfstream for seven furlongs in 1:21.11 and defeated eventual graded stakes winner Songster. In his fourth start, Exclusive Quality finished his career with a victory in the Spectacular Bid Stakes at Gulfstream over Diabolical and In Summation, who later won grade II and grade I stakes, respectively.

“We’re really excited to get this horse,” Brent Fernung said in a release. “He was an extremely talented horse on the racetrack, and the horses that he beat show just how good he really was. He is also a gorgeous horse physically. If he leaves them like himself, his foals will sell very well, and if they run like him, he could be any kind of sire.”

Exclusive Quality is in the process of being syndicated and will stand for $4,000.
